Privacy policy

In short
Tenkey collects no data about you. It works offline, sends nothing anywhere and has no account.
What Tenkey keeps on your Mac
- Your settings: the keyboard shape, the layout, and when you set Tenkey up.
- Your progress: the stage you have reached in each layout.
- For each finished lesson or free practice: when it ended, its layout and stage, its speed, accuracy and length, how many characters and mistakes it had, and for each key how often it was pressed, how often it went wrong and how long it took on average.
Tenkey never stores the text you type or paste. Free practice text stays in memory and is gone when the practice ends.
All of this is in one file, in Tenkey's own folder on your Mac:
~/Library/Containers/com.dimnat.tenkey/Data/Library/Application Support/com.dimnat.tenkey/tenkey.db
To remove it, delete Tenkey and then the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.dimnat.tenkey.
What leaves your Mac
Nothing. Tenkey makes no network connections: no analytics, no crash reporter, no advertising, no tracking and no update checks.
Apple
Apple handles the purchase and the download under its own privacy policy. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may give me anonymous crash reports and usage figures for Tenkey. Tenkey itself adds nothing to them.
This website
tenkeyapp.com uses no cookies, no scripts and no analytics. The company that hosts it, Railway, may keep technical logs of requests, such as IP addresses, to run and protect its service.
If you write to support, I use your message and your address only to answer you.
Children
Tenkey collects no data from anyone, children included.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will say so, with a new date.
